Tina McConchie resides with her family in the picturesque Springwood area of Buchanan, Va. A self taught artist and designated Master Pastelist with the prestigious Pastel Society of America, Tina is the recipient of numerous national, regional and local awards and honors. Her portraits and landscapes are included in museum, public and private collections throughout the East Coast and in the United Kingdom.
The artist paints exclusively in the pastel medium, finding her greatest inspiration through the genre of regional landscape. Her evocative landscape paintings often embody an ethereal and emotional impact. The artist states, “My art springs from a deeply personal place, a quiet contemplation of thought and emotions. I do not wish to smack you in the face with my art, but rather to subtly evoke a more emotional response in those who view my work.”
The artist’s work is available from her home studio, Rose Chapel Art in Buchanan, and from Gallery 108 in Roanoke, Va.
