Welcome to Downtown Living! The Arts Council of the Blue Ridge is pleased to present the Downtown Living Tour 2007: A Decade Downtown in partnership with Downtown Roanoke, Inc. (DRI). We invite you to come downtown the weekend of October 6-7, 2007 and see for yourself all that living in downtown Roanoke has to offer. This year's tour is a wonderful mix of unique residences that will showcase the many possibilities of urban living...including a building that once served as funeral home, a renovated car dealership and even a building that in its past housed 2 of Roanoke's famous nightclubs.
This year's Downtown Living Tour will not only celebrate the past and how much living in downtown Roanoke has progressed but also will highlight projects currently under construction. Included in the tour this year are 2 highlights from past tours: 137 Kirk Avenue featured on the 2003 tour and 124 Campbell Avenue featured on the 2000 tour, these properties are in addition to several never-before seen properties also on the tour. Additionally we are excited to include plans and models for projects on the horizon, making the 2007 tour not only a chance to see how other people live downtown but how you can make living downtown a reality too.
